Where to Eat... |
|
Breakfast |
We ate breakfast at around 10 am. For breakfast, we ordered buttermilk pancakes, Mexican Sunrise and German Chocolate. The Mexican Sunrise is scrambled eggs with onions, green bell peppers, diced tomato and topped with mozzarella cheese and zesty salsa. A breakfast for two at $20 is actually great. The food is among the best I've ever had for breakfast. |
Lunch |
Alektor Cafe and Books at 1807 Grand Ave, Nashville, TN - What I liked about the place aside from the food is the feeling of intimacy because the cafe is small. Alektor Cafe and Books is actually hidden in a bookstore. For lunch, the tuna melt and smoked turkey and cheese are superb. I also personally like the portabella mushroom sandwich. If you are a small group and would not mind dining in a pretty small cafe, go to Alektor Cafe and Books. |
Dinner |
Commerce Street Grille at Renaissance Hotel - Located on the first floor of the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, Commerce Street Grille serves American and Southern cuisine in a casual dining atmosphere. They have a bar and lounge, private room and full bar. A great dinner would include Southern Style Duck Egg Roll, Smoked Prime Rib, or Herb Crusted Carolina Trout Filet. A meal at Commerce Street Grille is $30 and below. |
What to Do... |
|
Morning |
Belle Meade Plantation at 5025 Harding Pike Nashville - Visit the historic 30-acre site with the Belle Meade Mansion at the center. Never mind the walking, but I tell you there is lots of walking and exploring to be done. The Winery is also a must see aside from the mansion and the vast land. |
Afternoon |
Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park at 600 James Robertson Parkway - The 19-acre park is a great destination for those who want a taste of history and natural wonders. You will definitely learn something new about Tennessee once you visit the enormous park. |
Evening |
Catch The Doyle and Debbie Show at 7PM. You will definitely enjoy the laugh trip. Doyle and Debbie have been a great tandem act over the past three years and still make people laugh today. The songs are great and the acts are hilarious. Truly a great evening activity! |
Late Night |
Have a good night sleep at Opryland Hotel and Convention Center. We stayed in one of the Traditional View King Bed suites which may be a little expensive but once you see the room with its great interior design and contemporary color, you'll say it's worth the money. The room also has a fridge, hair dryer, modem data port, wireless internet access, CD player and more. You will sleep comfortably, that's for sure. |
